HTC 2026 Winter Duathlon Race 2

Race 2 of the HTC Winter Duathlon Series delivered great weather, a strong turnout, and plenty of fantastic efforts across the field. It was brilliant to see kids and adults alike getting out there and giving it a go.

We had two events on the day: the Open event and the Try-A-Duo. The Open race was closely fought between Ben and James. James led after the first run before Ben clawed back time and made his move on the bike. James pushed hard on the final run, but Ben held on for the win.

The Try-A-Duo was also a real success, with lots of kids taking part on all kinds of bikes — including mountain bikes and even a kids’ bike. It was also great to see mums and dads getting involved and supporting the action.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers, supporters, and families who helped make the day possible. We really appreciate everything you do. A special shout-out to the Open event athletes who volunteered to head back out on course for the Try-A-Duo, helping direct and support our newer athletes.

Race 3 will be here before we know it, so keep the momentum going and we’ll see you all again soon. Entries are open now via the website for Sunday 26 th July back at KartSport.

HTC 2026 Winter Duathlon Race 3

A chilly morning set the scene for Race 3 of the HTC Winter Duathlon Series, but despite the cold, a committed group of athletes turned out to close the series on a high. The Open field was small but competitive, with the front group pushing hard on the first run before spreading out on the bike. The cold conditions made the bike leg especially challenging — luckily the track stayed ice free, and we still saw some fast riding. Congratulations to Leo Piper and Josie Murphy, both Juniors, who took out Open Men’s and Open Woman’s respectively.

Across both races, the series delivered exactly what we hoped for: solid winter racing, a friendly atmosphere, and a great mix of juniors, beginners, and experienced athletes getting involved. The TryADuo worked as a welcoming entry point especially for kids and families, while the Open category provided fast racing as well as many experienced triathletes including visitors.

Thank you to all members, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who braved the cold to race or help out. Your energy is what makes these events possible
